Fail Us Not

Came across this video on CCLI TV. Decent song with a cool video concept, full of hope and just very real. Something that I think will really speak to a lot of people. Check it out if you get a chance, and find out more at failusnot.com

"Will the Lord reject forever?
Will he never show his favor again?

Has his unfailing love vanished forever?
Has his promise failed for all time?

Has God forgotten to be merciful?
Has he in anger withheld his compassion?"
Selah

Then I thought, "To this I will appeal:
the years of the right hand of the Most High."

I will remember the deeds of the LORD;
yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago.

I will meditate on all your works
and consider all your mighty deeds.

Your ways, O God, are holy.
What god is so great as our God?

You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.

With your mighty arm you redeemed your people,
the descendants of Jacob and Joseph.

Selah "

Psalm 77:7-15

Thanks for your point of view. I do express my opinion on many posts, but I also visit plenty of blogs that occasionally share something that they found interesting which the reader may not have come across on their own. They're just kind of passing it on without extra commentary. I am not primarily driven by a need to give my opinion, and since I think I give my opinion too much in general anyways, I don't want to push myself to give it more. My desire, more than giving "my opinion" is to share what I think God is teaching me about worship and living as the church. I also appreciate when people share good songs with me or other creative ideas for praising God, so I'm trying to do the same here in this post.

However, at your request, a little more opinion about this post. I think that this video is a great model for how we can present examples of real people following Christ, dealing with the real problems of the world, expressing real questions and yet declaring that God is faithful and worth putting our faith in. A lot of people find certain people's Christianity worthless because they just pretend like everything is okay, and that's not most people's experience. So the conclusion they come to is that Jesus and the Bible aren't something that can be depended on for life in the "real world."

I think we would serve believers and non-believers better if we communicated our hope like this video does.
